This small project was completed in the New Forest National Park. Mindful of disruption to archaology, the new home office was supported on screw piles. Combined with the appropriate design and materials this enabled the project to sail through planning with almost no amendments or conditions required. Heated by a small stove, the structure of the cabin is insulated externally allowing the Douglas Fir frame to be left exposed. The simple linoleum covered desk has views across the fields and conservation area. Tall slot windows give views through the building and glimpses of the churchyard.
